Trafsys is building a new department dedicated to Data Science
Trafsys has established a new department focusing on Data Science. This is in line with our key objectives of leveraging the rapid development in Big Data analytics, AI and Machine Learning, and building in effective data-powered capabilities in future versions of our Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), including the advanced Traffic Management system Trafvision.
The amount of data produced in the transport sector is growing explosively. By using different methods of analysis, patterns and trends can be distinguished in large amounts of unstructured data from various sources. After further processing, insights and conclusions about what has happened and predictions on what potentially could happen can be made from the data and acted upon with speed and precision.
The new team of data scientists will be led by Stian Astad Sørngård, PhD.
